Activity Stations
Approximately 30 activity stations were developed for the Carolinian Forest Festival. Each activity is interactive, hands-on and linked to the Ontario Curriculum for grade 6 and 7 students.
The activities are divided into five themes:
· Forest Ecosystems and Interactions
· Biodiversity and Species at Risk
· Climate Change
· Forest Resources
· Stewardship and Conservation
Registration
Registration is now closed and the Festival is at capacity for 2011. Schools can contact the Festival Coordinator to be placed on a waiting list in the event of cancellations.
Teacher Orientation Workshops
Teacher Orientation Workshops are held to provide participating teachers with information about the Forest Festival location, activity stations and the schedule of events. Teachers also receive a ‘Teacher Planning Guide’ and educational resources at this session.
Teachers that have not previously attended the Festival must attend the Teacher Orientation Worskshop. This year's workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 20 at 4:30 p.m. at the Kettle Creek Administration Office.

Testimonial
“I liked learning about the different kinds of trees and the ecological footprint. I liked the snakes, the food chain game, but most of all I liked the birds” - Student, Wilton Grove Public School
